The Wisconsin Beach Program recommends:
What YOU can do to help:
- Dispose of litter in containers, especially diapers and pet waste
- Do not feed gulls and waterfowl
- Conserve water in your household
- Avoid using chemical fertilizers
How YOU can reduce your risk of infection from pathogens:
- Shower after swimming
- Don't swallow water
- Wash hands before eating
- Change baby diapers before allowing children in water

feeding Lake Michigan in cooperation with the Wisconsin Dept of Natural
